A Night of Romanian Poetry and Music

The night of Romanian Poetry and Classical Romanian Music that will be held on November the 3rd 2009 is part of an entire week of celebration on the occasion of the 25th Anniversary from the foundation of the First Romanian Baptist Church in Metro Atlanta area. The idea of having a special night of Romanian poetry and music was born as a desire to show the beauty that the Creator has so richly displayed around us in verses written by gifted poets and music composed by outstanding composers, this way changing us into more tender-hearted and sensible people who worship Him and sing how great He is.
A well-known word of wisdom says that every Romanian was born to be a poet, meaning that everyone in our nation can immortalize his love for nature, his feelings, and experiences in skillful verses. We don't know if it's true, but we know for sure that Romanians have always loved poetry. Our culture has been a rich one, and we pride ourselves in having numerous wonderful poets, story-tellers, composers, painters, and sculptors whose fame had spread beyond the borders of our little homeland.
Last but not the least, we need to mention Christian poets, who uplifted, encouraged, and sustained people's endurance and their faith in God, giving them hope in an everlasting life beyond the times of trials and tribulation.
The night of Romanian poetry and music is also a warm invitation to all the Romanians living in the area to attend the event and rejoice with us.

Please check back for more details about the event.
